#Facebook is a classic example of "Just because you CAN, doesn't necessarily mean you SHOULD" in technology. Technology should be created to assist, improve or enhance the lives of people, with appropriate consideration for the consequences of it's implementation, both positive and negative. 

Too often, technology is created for the sake of doing it, to make money, to be first, because somebody else is doing it, or because somebody with influence decided it was a good idea at the time, with little regard for people or consequence.  

Today we are witnessing some of the results of these decisions.
